Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her most well-known role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
